About St James Anglican Church, Sanderson

We are a multi-cultural church that knows Jesus, and makes him known. We are located in the northern suburbs of Darwin, Australia.

Our “Church Camp” is Katherine Christian Convention

May Day Long Weekend (3-5 May, 2024)

KCC is like a “church camp” for us. Many St James people come, and gather with Christians from around the Top End. You can camp for free on site (after paying your $30 conference fee), or most of us camp across the road with nicer facilities in Boab Caravan Park (tents or cabins). For those who want more of a hotel/resort level, there are other options in town such as Contours. There are programs for school age kids and youth during the Teaching Sessions.  There will be optional opportunities for gathering in prayer during the free times, or to explore the Katherine area.

If you can’t come for the whole weekend it would be great to pop in for part of the time. The “Fellowship Nights” are a real highlight – you don’t want to miss out on experiencing one!

St James Communal BBQ/Picnic: Sunday after the Teaching Session, at Boab Caravan Park. (Bring some food to share)

Bring:  Bathers, money to buy meals at the onsite bookshop and canteen, water bottle, aeroguard.

(Please consider avoiding “short shorts” as this may hinder comfortable fellowship for the many Aboriginal attenders from remote communities).
